Selling Sunset Star Chelsea Lazkani Talks Microaggressions, Abusive Relationship in Emotional Interview (VIDEO)

Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani recently bared her soul in an emotional interview with Hollywood producer Carlos King, shedding light on the challenges and triumphs she’s faced navigating the world of reality television.

The British-Nigerian socialite broke down in tears during the candid sit-down, which also touched on how she was able to escape an abusive relationship.

“I’ve struggled a lot,” Lazkani said.

“I often don’t feel heard or seen and I feel like when I am heard I’m misheard and I feel like a lot of my mannerisms and my natural dialect and my natural personality and persona is always misconstrued.”

Lazkani, 30, said she been labelled “aggressive” and “mean” despite her kind nature, which she attributed to her race.

“My intentions are always so pure, I’m very much a lover. I have no malice in my heart for anyone in this world and I will forgive anyone – we can argue right now and I’ll love you again in 20 minutes, it’s just my personality,” she said.

“I’m very direct, very blunt it could be that… people say British people have this ‘charm’ where they have verbal diarrhea and say what’s on their mind.

“I struggle so much because I’m trying to be my authentic self and there are undertones of “Chelsea’s aggressive” or “Chelsea’s a bully” or “Chelsea’s mean” and I’m like never in my life up until coming on reality TV have I ever heard that and it makes me so sad.”

However, her journey hasn’t been easy as she revealed she met her husband on Tinder shortly after fleeing an abusive relationship.

“He was my first Tinder date, he snatched me,” she said.

“I moved here just after completing my masters. I came over here with one suitcase… I was running away from my ex-boyfriend who was very abusive. Was in a very, very toxic place in my life relationship-wise and I knew I had to just [get out].”
