Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Hit with New Civil Suits Alleging Sexual Assault of Minor and Multiple Rapes

Six more individuals have come forward with civil lawsuits against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault.

The suits, filed on Monday in New York, add to a growing list of claims against the 54-year-old rapper and producer, including allegations dating back to 1995.

Among the latest accusations are two women and four men, identified as Jane Does and John Does, who allege a series of sexual assaults spanning over two decades, from 1995 to 2021.

One of the most serious claims involves the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, while others centre around multiple rapes. These incidents reportedly took place at Combs’ notorious parties, which have long been a fixture in his music industry career.

Several businesses associated with Combs have also been named in the lawsuits. One male accuser claims Combs assaulted him in a Macy’s department store in 2008, leading to Macy’s being listed as a defendant.

Meanwhile, a female accuser alleges Combs raped her in a hotel, with Marriott also named as a defendant.

Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee, representing the accusers, first revealed the allegations earlier this month, stating he was handling cases for 120 alleged victims with claims against Combs. These accusations include violent sexual assault, rape, and facilitated sex with controlled substances. Buzbee also mentioned there were claims of video recordings being disseminated and sexual abuse of minors.

Speaking at an October press conference, Buzbee said, “We will expose the enablers who allowed this behaviour to happen behind closed doors. We will pursue this case no matter where the evidence leads.” He hinted that more high-profile names would likely be implicated, adding, “It’s a long list already, but we are going to make sure we’re right before naming anyone. The names will shock you.”

Combs has consistently denied all allegations. His legal team responded to the recent lawsuits with a firm statement: “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone. We live in a society where anyone can file a lawsuit without proof, but Mr. Combs is confident that the judicial process will reveal the truth, and he will prevail in court.”

These latest suits come after Combs’ September arrest on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. The artist, who has repeatedly claimed innocence, is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre. His criminal trial is scheduled for May next year.
