Diddy Accused of Rape By Ex-Girlfriend Cassie in Bombshell Lawsuit

1

Singer Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, has filed a lawsuit against hip-hop mogul Diddy, accusing him of rape and repeated physical abuse throughout their relationship.

According to court documents obtained by The New York Times, the lawsuit details a pattern of abuse and control that allegedly began after the two met in 2005 when Cassie was 19 years old.

Cassie claims in the lawsuit that Diddy, born Sean Combs, engaged in abusive behavior, including forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed, physically abusing her, and providing her with drugs.

The Long Way 2 Go singer alleges that Diddy, 54, forced his way into her home and raped her towards the end of their lengthy relationship in 2018.

The court documents also describe Diddy as “prone to uncontrollable rage” and allege frequent physical abuse. Cassie contends that these incidents were witnessed by Diddy’s staff and employees, who, she claims, did not speak up against their powerful boss.

In a statement to the New York Times, Cassie, 37, expressed her decision to break her silence: “After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

Diddy’s attorney, Ben Brafman, has vehemently denied the allegations, stating that Cassie had been seeking $30 million from Diddy, threatening to write a damaging book about their relationship. Brafman characterized Cassie’s lawsuit as baseless and outrageous lies aimed at tarnishing Diddy’s reputation for financial gain.

Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, countered these claims, stating that Diddy allegedly offered eight figures to keep her silent before the lawsuit was filed. “Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” Wigdor said. “She rejected his efforts.”

It comes five years after Cassie moved on with Diddy’s personal trainer Alex Fine.

The pair began dating in late 2018 and the following year announced they were expecting their first child together.

In August 2019, they revealed they were engaged and the pair officially tied the knot on August 28, 2019.

Their first daughter was born on December 6, 2019 and they welcomed a second daughter in March 2021.

Meanwhile, Diddy welcomed a baby girl with 28-year-old cybersecurity expert, Dana Tran, late last year.
