Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, are celebrating the newest addition to their family as they joyfully welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.
The reality TV star, 44, reportedly gave birth at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on Thursday, surrounded by close family and friends, including her sister Kylie Jenner and the beaming father, Travis Barker, TMZ reported.
The celebrity duo reportedly chose the unique name Rocky Thirteen Barker for their son, adding a touch of individuality and rock-n-roll flair to their growing family.
The baby’s arrival follows a whirlwind romance between the two, starting with a spectacular pregnancy announcement at a Blink-182 concert in June. Kardashian surprised the audience by showcasing her baby bump while holding a sign that read, “Travis, I’m Pregnant,” a clever nod to the band’s famous All the Small Things music video.
However, their journey to parenthood was not without its challenges. In early September, the couple faced a heart-wrenching moment when Kardashian required emergency surgery to save their child’s life.
Barker, who was away in Europe touring with Blink-182 at the time, rushed back to Los Angeles to be by his wife’s side. Fortunately, the surgery was successful, and both mother and baby emerged healthy, strong.
This new chapter comes just a little over a year after Kardashian and Barker’s low-key courthouse wedding in Santa Barbara. The private ceremony was followed by a glamorous Italian wedding, where the couple exchanged vows at Dolce & Gabbana’s exclusive villa before celebrating at a medieval castle.
The couple are already parents to their respective children from previous relationships.
