Rihanna, Serena and Davido: Cute Celebrity Babies born in 2023

From Rihanna to Serena Williams, and even the fabulous Naomi Campbell – it’s baby fever in 2023! Here’s your star-studded list of celebs who welcomed some seriously cute bundles of joy this year.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky

The Diamonds singer, 35, secretly welcomed her second child Riot Rose in Los Angeles in August. She and rapper A$AP Rocky are already parents to a son RZA, 17 months. The pregnancy was first announced during her Super Bowl halftime show.

The show kicked off with her flaunting her baby bump and playfully leaving the zipper of her super-chic outfit – a jumpsuit paired with a snug bodysuit and a stylish bandeau – wide open for all to see.

Now, let’s talk baby names. Her first son, RZA, boasts a name as unique as the star herself. And it’s not just any name; it’s a shoutout to none other than the Wu-Tang Clan’s head honcho, the legendary producer and rapper RZA (that’s pronounced “Rizza,” folks). RZA, offstage known as Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, must be beaming with pride to have a little namesake!

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian

Serena Williams is acing the parenting game like the true tennis legend she is. At 41, she introduced her newest bundle of joy, a daughter named Adira River Ohanian, in an August TikTok video. In that video’s caption, she wrote, “Welcome my beautiful angel.”

Her husband, American-Armenian entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian shared an Instagram tribute, writing: “Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I’m grateful to report our house is [teeming] with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful.”

“@serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT,” he added. “Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter. I will never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”

Serena and Alexis let the world in on their little secret back in May, right before the 2023 Met Gala.

The couple, who have been married for six years, announced they were expecting a girl in July with an epic announcement video from their baby shower.

They also share a five-year-old daughter named Olympia.

Naomi Campbell

Supermodel Naomi Campbell surprised fans with a second baby announcement in June.

She welcomed a baby boy, two years after the birth of her first child, a daughter, at the age of 50.

“My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. A True Gift from God,” she wrote on Instagram. “Welcome Baby boy. It’s never too late to become a mother.” She also included the hashtag “#mumoftwo.”

Campbell is yet to share the names or details surrounding the birth of her children. While she previously told British Vogue that her daughter was not adopted, she is saving further details for her up coming book.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are basking in the glow of new parenthood once again, and they couldn’t be happier. Welcoming their fourth child into their loving home, Chrissy, 37, and John, 44, are over the moon.

Their precious son, Wren Alexander Stephens, was conceived via surrogacy. The journey was not without its challenges. In 2020, they faced the heart-wrenching loss of their baby Jack during pregnancy, an experience that Teigen candidly shared with the world. Undeterred, the former model expressed her desire to try once more to carry a child. This led them to restart the IVF process, and the result was their beautiful daughter, Esti, born in January 2023.

During this journey, the couple had embarked on the surrogacy path. Along the way, they met Alexandra, a truly remarkable and compassionate woman who became the conduit for their new addition. Alexandra’s generosity and love touched the couple deeply.

The couple shares four children, a daughter Luna, 7, son Miles, 5 — and a daughter Esti born in January and newest addition Wren.

Davido

Afrobeats megastar Davido Adeleke (aka Davido) and his wife Chioma Rowland welcomed the birth of twins, a boy and a girl, on Friday.

It comes one year after the death of the couple’s three-year-old son Ifeanyi Adeleke, who tragically drowned in a swimming pool.

The Nigerian musician recently credited his faith with helping him overcome the tragedy.

“A lot of people that those things happen to… you would never want to believe in God ever in your life,” he said in New York.

“But to still have faith, to still be able to do what I love, having a great team around me and just focusing… I’m almost at the finish line and that’s something that I want people to see.”
